Central Mexico Project: San Miguel de Allende
Mission:
End Animal Suffering through Compassion with Animal Population Control Methods. With hundreds of homeless dogs roaming the streets, the most effective way to address this crisis is by reducing the never-ending cycle of puppies born in the streets and fields. By launching targeted spay and neuter campaigns, we can take proactive steps toward population control and prevent unnecessary suffering.
But our work doesn’t stop there. We believe education is key to creating lasting change. By teaching the local community about responsible pet care—starting with children and expanding through enrichment programs—we can build a culture of compassion and responsibility.
For the innocent puppies born into hardship, we provide a second chance. Our specially designed training camp helps prepare these dogs for adoption, whether within Mexico or through international placements. Every dog deserves a home, and we’re here to make that happen.

Emergency Response Team
SMA needs an official animal response team—one equipped with animal control units that can respond to emergency situations, rescue injured dogs, and provide immediate care. In addition to provide transportation to spay/neuter clinics.
