Mission:
At DWBF, our mission is clear: to spay and neuter every street dog in SMA. With hundreds of homeless dogs roaming the streets, the most effective way to address this crisis is by reducing the never-ending cycle of puppies born in the streets and fields. By launching targeted spay and neuter campaigns, we can take proactive steps toward population control and prevent unnecessary suffering.
But our work doesn’t stop there. We believe education is key to creating lasting change. By teaching the local community about responsible pet care—starting with children and expanding through enrichment programs—we can build a culture of compassion and responsibility.
For the innocent puppies born into hardship, we provide a second chance. Our specially designed training camp helps prepare these dogs for adoption, whether within Mexico or through international placements. Every dog deserves a home, and we’re here to make that happen.
Central Mexico Campaigns:
Emergency Response Team
SMA needs an official animal response team—one equipped with animal control units that can respond to emergency situations, rescue injured dogs, and provide immediate care. In addition to provide transportation to spay/neuter clinics.
Puppy Rescue
The Puppy Rescue Fund is dedicated to providing critical assistance and loving care to puppies in distress. Our mission revolves around rescuing puppies from dire situations, ensuring they receive the necessary medical treatment, nourishment, and shelter.
Spay and Neuter
DWBF envisions a word where no dog is hungry or stray. To continue doing this wee need financial support to host spay/neuter clinics for the street dogs in Central Mexico.

Support Our Campaigns:
Education & Awareness:
Change starts with knowledge. To break the cycle of homelessness and neglect, we must educate the community about proper animal care and the responsibilities of pet ownership. By fostering empathy and understanding—starting with children and expanding through community-wide initiatives—we can reshape the future for SMA’s street dogs.
Create Feeding Stations
To support homeless dogs, we plan to set up strategically placed feeding stations throughout town and in surrounding rural areas, offering consistent nourishment and reducing starvation.
Dog Park:
San Miguel de Allende needs an official dog park where dog owners can safely bring their pups to play and run around. We have purchased the land we just need to create the infrastructure.
